On September 21, Shanghai Rankings, a professional institution of higher education evaluation, officially released the “2022 Best Chinese Subjects”. The discipline of “Foreign Languages and Literatures” of Jiangsu University ranked 72nd nationwide, two places up from 2021. The ranking level is in the top 30%. The discipline of foreign language and literature of Jiangsu University ranked sixth in Jiangsu Province, and the top five were Nanjing University, Nanjing Normal University, Suzhou University, Yangzhou University and Jiangsu Normal University.
The 2022 Best Chinese Subjects of Shanghai Rankings include 96 subjects of the first category. All colleges and universities that offer academic programs under their subjects of the first category are considered for the rankings, and the top 50% of the rankings are published. A total of 5035 subjects from 484 institutions of higher learning are listed, of which 121schools are those that house the subject of “Foreign Languages and Literatures” .
