On October 11th, the 7th “Casio·New World Cup” Dubbing Contest for Jiangsu’s College Students jointly sponsored by the Jiangsu Branch of China Association for Japanese Language Teaching and hosted by the School of Foreign Languages of Nanjing Forestry University was opened at Nanjing Forestry University. 28 teams from Jiangsu province, including Nanjing University, Southeast University, and Soochow University participated in the competition.
Under the meticulous guidance of foreign teachers Matsumoto Daisuke and Matsumoto Miyoshi, the Jiangsu University Team comprising Japanese majors Hu Yuhui, Li Yunfei, and Ma Feifei won a third prize through fierce competition. The dubbing materials for our team was selected from one of the classic Qing palace dramas named “Princess Pearl”. With authentic pronunciation, touching content and highly contagious performance, the team members vividly represented the three protagonists of “Xiaoyanzi (Little Swallow)”, “Ziwei (Crape Myrtle)" and “Jinsuo (Gold Lock)”, retelling the story of the profound friendship between the three young girls helping each other to tide over difficulties. Their excellent performance engrossed the judges and spectators present and won the unanimous praise of the Japanese judges from other universities.
